From “I thought we agreed”
to “We both know what we committed to.”
ObliNet makes commitments, authority, conditions, dependencies and accountability explicit — for people, organizations and AI agents.
Why can reasonable participants fail to act reliably together?
They may rely on different information and assumptions, and interpret goals, authority and working conditions differently. Even sound individual decisions can be incompatible. ObliNet proposes making consequential differences explicit, checking the basis of expectations and connecting actions through explicit commitments.
ObliNet addresses two connected problems: coordinating action when participants understand the situation differently, and making the use of delegated authority accountable.
Understand the situation and coordinate actionCheck information and assumptions, compare options and clarify conditions and dependencies so participants understand what they can reasonably expect.
Make the use of authority accountablePreserve decisions, their grounds and consequences so those who delegated authority and authorized reviewers can assess its use.

One sentence.
A clear commitment.
A commitment can exist long before there is a contract — and many coordination failures begin there.
“I’ll deliver Friday if the materials arrive Wednesday.”
The condition belongs with the promise.- Responsible party

- Dependencies are tracked
AI suggests the structure. People confirm it. ObliNet tracks what depends on it.
Two actors clarify a possible commitment and confirm one commitment object. Dependencies connect it to Execution, Acceptance and Outcome.
The network
is the product.
When one commitment changes, the next people need to know.
Delay the materials to see the consequences travel through the graph.
What happens next?
ObliNet makes affected dependencies visible. People then clarify the impact and confirm revised terms; a delay does not silently rewrite their agreement.
One shared view. Three connected commitments.
Each outcome informs
the next commitment.
What does ObliNet
mean for you?
Different responsibilities.
A shared need for clear commitments.

From Intelligence to Coordination
Intelligence helps a participant reason: understand a situation, compare options and draw well-founded conclusions.
Coordination helps participants act reliably together: agree on who does what and when, account for dependencies and confirm completion.
ObliNet distinguishes its approach from established uses of AI by organizing coordination around the commitment as the primary object of the system.
Before a commitment is confirmed, its feasibility is checked: authority, resources, conditions and dependencies on other participants. After confirmation, execution, changing conditions and acceptance of the result against agreed criteria are tracked.
AI helps participants formulate, check and align commitments, and assess evidence of their fulfillment.
The authority to enter into or confirm commitments, and to accept fulfillment, remains with the relevant authorized participants.
